What is Mentorship Desk?

Mentorship Desk is a free platform that connects aspiring professionals with experienced mentors across Ghana and beyond. We believe that access to good mentorship should not depend on who you know — so we built a space where mentors can volunteer their time and mentees can find real guidance, at no cost to either party.

Mentorship Desk facilitates the connection between mentors and mentees. We do not employ mentors, and we are not responsible for the advice given or outcomes achieved through mentorship relationships formed on our platform.

Who Can Use Mentorship Desk?

Anyone aged 13 and over may sign up as a mentee. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or guardian to use the platform.

To become a mentor, you must apply through our mentor application process. We review every application and approve mentors based on professional experience, areas of expertise, and availability. Approval is at our sole discretion, and we may decline or revoke mentor status at any time.

What We Expect from Users

Mentorship Desk is built on trust and respect. By using the platform, you agree to:

  • Be respectful. Treat every user with courtesy and professionalism, regardless of their background or experience level.
  • Be honest. Keep your profile accurate and up to date. Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or intentions is grounds for account removal.
  • No solicitation. You may not use Mentorship Desk to sell products or services, recruit for commercial purposes, or promote any business offering to other users without our prior written consent.
  • No harmful content. Do not post, share, or communicate anything that is abusive, discriminatory, illegal, or otherwise harmful to others.

Sessions and Scheduling

Mentorship sessions on our platform take place via Google Meet. When a session is confirmed, we generate a meeting link and send it to both parties by email. Mentors set their own availability, and mentees book sessions based on those open slots.

We do our best to make scheduling smooth, but we are not responsible for technical issues with Google Meet or any other third-party tool. We also cannot guarantee specific outcomes from any mentorship relationship — the value you get depends on the effort and openness both parties bring to the conversation.

If a mentor cancels or does not show up repeatedly, please report this to us at hello@mentorshipdesk.com and we will follow up.

Privacy

We collect the information you provide when you sign up — including your name, email address, and profile details — as well as basic usage data to help us improve the platform. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers.

For full details on how we handle your information, please read our Privacy Policy.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@mentorshipdesk.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms of Service, engages in harmful conduct toward other users, or is otherwise operating in bad faith. Where possible, we will give you notice before taking action, but we may act immediately when necessary to protect the community.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, send a notice to your registered email address.
